A well established 2.5 acre lake with two small islands. Catches of 45 nice Carp on a single day ticket have been seen recently. Hyes is heavily stocked and produces Carp from teens to around 30lb. The lake record is 42lb from 2016. Hyes is a popular runs water. This lake originally named Hyes Lake, dates back more than 500 years. This site was once used for the manufacture of Cannons and Cannon Balls for the Tudor Navies, this being where the name Furnace originated. The Hyes Lake was used in this production process. Hyes has a clay bottom and is constantly supplied with water from the Furnace Lake. This lake has clean Ladies & Gentlemens toilets with a lodge and cooking facilities nearby. Due to the large amount of triple takes Hyes is restricted to a maximum of 2 rods per angler.
